About

Joyce Le MesurierI was born and raised in Singapore and originally trained and practised as a lawyer for many years in Singapore, HK and London. My love for travel and adventure was fuelled when I first travelled to the United States and to Europe during university holidays and thereafter the wanderlust set in. In 2000, I decided to have a break from the legal world to raise my young family and have never looked back! Since then, I’ve been exploring my creative side by learning how to paint, taking up flower arranging and pottery and since 2013, taking up photography seriously.  I am passionate about life, travel and photography and have a great spirit of adventure, learning about other cultures and then sharing my experiences through my photography. Photography has brought me to exotic and diverse places like Bhutan, Myanmar, Lijiang, various parts of India, Ethiopia, the Swedish Lapland, Norway and Iran and I feel truly blessed. The best way to see a country is never to rush around but to go slow and take time to discover the secret treasures a country has to offer and to savour those special moments.

In May 2013, I was commissioned by the Inn on Temple Street hotel in Chinatown, Singapore to produce a series of photographs on Singapore and about 20 of my photographs now hang permanently as wall art on the hotel’s walls. I have participated in various exhibitions and my photographs have been purchased by an international clientele.

I hope you will enjoy the photos on my site–if you would like to order any images as high quality prints/arrange a photoshoot/have any comments/suggestions/just want to chat about photography, please do get in touch. I would love to hear from you!
